FEC Posta7 in Groningen adds real life gaming and Formula 1 experience

Leisure stronghold Posta7 adds hundreds of square meters of real life gaming to the complex. The Jail Challenge is the newest attraction, consisting of 17 cells, missions and games.

Real life gaming combines effects and games from games with missions in real reality. This is how modern games are created, with here and there the 'vibes' of escape rooms or Fort Boyard.

Posta7's 'Jail Challenge' includes 'completely diverse' gaming cells. Participants score as many points as possible between, among other things, LED lights, catapult systems and Pacman.

"You receive a game tag to open cell doors and start games," says initiator Oetze Mulder. "The score per cell is credited to this tag. In the cell corridor, scores of all teams are visible in real time on a large screen."

Formula 1 experience

In addition to the Jail Challenge, Mulder has a Formula 1 experience. Existing racing simulation and lifelike steering are mixed with virtual reality glasses. The result is a complete immersion of the F1 feeling.

World premiere Fun Curling (2.0)

Mulder previously achieved a world first with a modern reinterpretation of curling. His Fun Curling 2.0 is the first and only one with a combination of automated scoring and automated sweep-back systems. This way the stones automatically return to the sliders.

Toilet Bowl Race: Formula WC

In addition, the catering boss from the North has a hit with indoor and outdoor circuits for electrically powered toilet bowls. The so-called toilet bowl race (Formula WC) is responsible for a substantial part of the annual visitor flow of 100.000 people.

Largest leisure centre

Posta7 distinguishes itself with 10 indoor activities and 6.000 meters of floor space, half of which are activities and the other half high-quality catering ('De Postwagen'). This makes the FEC concept unique compared to Family Entertainment Centers that provide catering 'on the side'.

The activities side includes 6 bowling lanes, 5 curling lanes, 5 escape rooms, 18 holes Glow in the Dark Mini Golf, a Laser tag Science fiction world and reception point for 50 VETbikes. The bowling section has been architecturally designed as an industrial and vintage lounge setting.

"The karaoke cafe and lounge area complete the center," says Mulder. The largest leisure center Posta7 has a location near the A7 between Drachten and Groningen.
